Try airing the coat outside on a hook or wash line, and if that doesn't get rid of the odor you might have to take it to a professional dry cleaner.

When we had our house fire all the clothing that was saved was taken to a dry cleaners to be cleaned. Then they were put in a room with an ozone machine (by the people doing the fire clean up work), and ours was salvaged.

I don't know about that one, but if you don't want to spend the money on a professional leather cleaning company and you can't it anyway-

1. What about Dryelle dryer sheets?

2. What about putting the jacket in a bag with baking soda in it?
