My husband, a guitar player for years, finds that putting some lighter fluid on a cloth and wiping down his guitar strings removes any dust and oil buildup from your hands. This will enhance the life of the strings also.
He has also used the lighter fluid to spot clean ties and spots on his suits saving an unnecessary emergency trip to the cleaners. It not only works like magic before your eyes, the fluid evaporates quickly not leaving behind a wet spot which soda water will do!

Lighter fluid is the same as mineral spirits.
Minerial Spirits I have found leaves a smell difficult to remove, where as charcoal lighter fluid does not.
Charcoal lighter fluid can be used to clean just about anything.
The byproduct left on any surface is so mild and minute even a child could handle this product without harm whatsoever.
I have been using it for years to clean everything under the sun.
It cleans so well you will not go back to any other cleaning method once you try this stuff.
It truly is the most useful product any regular person on the planet could use more than any other product sold in the world.

This product is safer than all cleaning products on the market and cleans much better.
With aerosols, just as flammable if not more explosive.
Only flames will cause this stuff to ignite if used sparingly.
Rule of thumb first learned is sparsity the best method of use.
That means everything can be saturated with a product that cant harm it, when only very little is needed for cleaning.
Rubber products can not be cleaned better if used sparingly.
This is life long valuable information and should be taken that way.
