What kind of dog do you have?

I was just wondering what kind of dogs everyone has. I have 2, a 4 year old yellow lab/collie mix and a 2 year old ACD/black lab mix. Very different personalities for sure. My collie mix will bark at you just to get attention (we got her from a no-kill shelter 3 years ago) and my ACD mix looks like a lab, but has the herding instincts and protectivess of an ACD and will also let me know before my husband goes into seizures or even if the "big" dog needs to go out!

Very protective of my 1 year old granddaughter!

Aren't our "fur babies" special!?

Have a wonderful day!

Hi,
I have a black lab/shepherd mix. He was found along the highway by my dentist. The dentist couldn't keep him and had decided to take him to the pound. We were looking for a dog and so...When we went to pick him up, his hind end was naked. He had no hair there and the hair on his front legs was sparce. He has allergies but we manage to stay ahead of them most of the time. He has taken more to me than my husband. In the morning if my husband won't "talk nice" to Max, Max will not go outside. He likes riding but wants to jump all over. So, we attach a lead to the back seat and he pretty much stays back there. He can be lots of company.

We dont know! But some swear hes a rat terrier and some swear hes a Jack Russel. The vet says he could have several dif breeds in him. What do YOU think he is? He showed up one cold Febuary evening and we tried for a month to find his owners but so we adopted him, named him David and microchipped him.

Hes a runner so has to be on a cable at all times outside but he doesnt seem to mind too much. Hes about a year old the vet says. We love his silly butt!

I have a 3 yr. old dachund I got 7 months ago. I dearly love her. She goes places with me she is always on my lap at home and on the bed at night. I am so glad I said yes to my friend when she told me of this dog a lady wanted to give away. I did not think I wanted any more dogs but love my "Gracie"

To Stngray....
ACD is short for AUSTRALIAN CATTLE DOG!!
Amazing dogs! :o) When she and my 4 yr. old dog get to playing, Pebbles (ACD/Blk. Lab) will try to herd her into a corner and nips at her feet as if she were a cow!

She will also try to get human feet if you don't have socks and shoes on!

My girl Hana is full-blood ACD, a red, and she's a firecracker! I'm her forever mama no matter what, and that gets tested often. She'll be two years old June 26. She bites me daily, she charges at everything, but I love her so much. Pointy ears with no surgery! great speckly colors! black eyeliner! perfect size dog for hugging or going for a run! what more could I ever, ever ask. She' not for sale!

Hi Judith,
I have 4 dogs.
Kendall (f) is a German Shep/Blk Lab Mix. We got her from the animal shelter. She was boarded up with another dog, Carson (f). We went to the shelter to get a dog after my dog Sonny died (he was 19)

Needless to say... we left with both dogs :) Carson died shortly after we got her. Kendall was sooooooo sad, her playmate was gone.
We had to get her another playmate.. quick! We were on our way to a dept. store and noticed a pet store was having a pet adoption on the side walk. We were only going to look, but Ty (m) a shorthair german sheppard) had a different
motive in mind. He left with us.
Last year we were in N.D. and brought home 2 sister puppies. Kayla and Lakota. (g. shep/ golden lab) but Kayla looks more like shep/bear mix!
they love to go for truck rides, chase rocks and eat peanut butter :)

Judith -

I have a lab/german shepard/ and I think a touch of pit, pup. He is now 8 months old, and is over 50 lbs. He is cute as a button, but has sever behavior issues, loves to bit, nip, jump up on folks, and counters. When he gets in trouble, I put him in his house, and he fusses, and fusses, terribly.

We took training at a local pet store, didn't really do a lot for him, but we are going to meet with an individual tranier. His name is Coco, i'll attach a pic. I love him to death, he does have sweet moments. With yours having lab mix, does your have any sort of issues??

Thank you!
Susan

We have 3 dogs: Duncan, a westie that was a breeder male for a puppy mill. He was rescued 5 years ago and has developed into quite a little plucky personality. Then there is a bichon named Fozzie Bear who was rescued 3 years ago after being tied to a tree with a ski rope for numerous years. He is old- we could not tell how old because his health was so bad. He is also deaf because of untreated ear infections, has cataracts and sometimes hip problems but we love and protect him fiercely and he is just a goofy, funny guy with a huge heart. The last is a bichon named Bella, although we call her BooBoo. She was given to us because her owner had health problems and needed to get rid of her. We got her about 6 months ago and she is a very spoiled princess already and thinks that everyone needs to love a dog all the time. We spoil them all as much as possible and take them everywhere unless it is just too hot to be left in the car. They get to go to Wendy's for chicken nuggets!! I swear they can read the sign and they know how to get there.

I have a Catahoula Leopard dog name Cloe. She is 11 months old and was about 5 months old when we got her. We got her from a rescue group on line called Broken Down Dogs. She comes from Louisiana and is used down there for herding cattle and hunting wild boar. We had to put down our Greyhound mix of 17yrs last year and I thought I could never have a dog again because my heart was so broken. Well Cloe has more than filled my heart and I don't know what I would do without her. She is an in your face kind of a dog and you always know she is there. I did alot of reading on the breed and must reestablish my self as pack leader in a loving respectful way constantly. She rewards me with unwavering love and affection just waiting to see what I want her to do. And yes she has on Blue eye and one Brown eye. I am just so in love.
