Removing a Dead Animal Smell from Clothes?

Not sure about clothing, but I recently had to remove a dead animal smell from a cloth back pack. I scrubbed the area with soap and water, rinsed, and set it out in the sun for a while. I had to do this a few times. I also sprayed the area with lysol several times.

I' ve used the human kill scent that hunters use to kill their odor in the woods. It works even on skunk.

Have you tried soaking in baking soda? Just a thought.
