Repairing a Leaky Kenmore Refrigerator?

My Kenmore refrigerator leaks badly. We never set it up to make ice even though it has that capability. It is a freezer on top model. This is a problem that we have had for the 5 years that we have had it. It was purchased new and is level. There is no water ever in the drip pan. How do we access the filters or drains to effect a repair? New in 2003, so older than I guessed. Thanks.
