My hair is naturally curly. For the longest time I didn't know what to do with it. No products worked to keep it frizz free, not gel or expensive products.

I found what works for me is to put mousse in my hair, then spray with spritz hairspray (both Suave) and let air dry. My curls stay nice all day!

It's not only for those of mixed heritage, but more for those with unruly curls.

Try letting your hair dry naturally. I put a curl product in my hair and let it get almost dry and then use the blow dryer on low. My hair is wavy curly, not super curly.

If you have a long car commute, you can dry your hair in the winter with the defroster. I could scrunch mine dry in the 45 minutes it took to get to work.

I have frizzy hair. Some things I have found out,
1) Never blow dry your hair, it will just make it worse.
2) Never go to cost cutters or any of the quick cut places, they only know how to cut hair one way.
3) Go to a salon that will know how to cut your hair, ask around.
4) You can use 2 or 3 hair products at the same time. Apply right after towel drying hair.
What I do is after lightly towel drying my hair I apply Garnier Fructis Leave-In Conditioner and then Sunsilk Captivating Curls. Then let air dry.

Get a curly hair Shampoo and conditioner, my favorite is Herbal Essences. Only wash your hair every other day.

I also use Herbal Essences mousse and hairspray. Just let your hair air dry or use a diffuser.

I myself have very long curly hair, and what I do is when I get through washing my hair, I let my hair air dry for a few minutes and then I pick it out and apply hairspray all over it. Then I blow dry it (while scrunching it at the same time) and my hair looks really good after that. I have no problem with it and I always have people saying how pretty my hair is.

I have struggled with my curly hair for over 40 years. finally at age 50 tried ouidad cut and loved it. I found a curly hair cutter closer to home and the cut is a deva curl cut. Check out the deva curl website. I love my hair now. it looks great every single day! some suggestions: don't rub your hair when you wash, never use a brush - just fingers, once hair is dry DON'T touch it.

I wash my hair about once a week and spritz in between with lavender water (essestial oil mixed with water). If I need to wash in between I use only conditioner to wash my hair. Hope this helps.

My daughter has unbelievably curly hair and I don't so I was at a loss when her hair got long enough to need maintaining. I have found the best thing to do with hers is to apply a detangler liberally, comb out all the tangles, then apply a bit more detangler to wet it a bit and scrunch, scrunch, scrunch. The result is perfectly formed little ringlets and no frizz. I use the Suave kid's detangler--comes in a green bottle with a crazy octopus on the front. Just a couple of bucks at Wal-mart and has a wonderful apple smell to it.

I had struggled with my hair my entire life until I started washing it with baking soda. The first time I did this, my hair was so beautiful and soft that I literally called everyone I know to tell them! Curly hair is dryer than straight hair, and shampoos, since they are detergents, are full of chemicals that remain in the hairshaft. Not only does this dry out the hair, but if you have sensitive skin, the shampoo is something you shouldn't get on your face, no matter how mild. I mix baking soda with water into a paste, rub it in to clean, then rinse.

I can immediately comb through my hair. (Always use wide-tooth comb) Then I rinse with 1 part vinegar to 4 parts water. Don't rinse it out. (It smells until it dries.) I squeeze my hair dry in a towel, wrap it up for awhile. I then use a TINY bit of castor oil (cheap at the drugstore) with gel, or leave-in conditioner. You can also use coconut milk. Just experiment. Your hair will be silky-soft, and you'll save a BUNDLE on hair care products!
