Nice Way to Cover a TV in a Bedroom?

Does anyone know of an economical, nice-looking way to cover up a 19" TV which is placed on a bedroom dresser? Unfortunately, neither wallmounting the TV or getting a smaller TV is an option; the dresser is the only place we have to put it due to the bedroom being so small. I was thinking of using curtains that could somehow be easily drawn aside when we're watching the TV and easily closed when we're not watching it but don't know where to start. Do they sell curtain rods that curve out from the wall and back?

Could you use a box to sit over it? You could cover it in coordinating fabric to match your bedspread or curtains.

I've seen people use wooden shutters hinged together to hide televisions. You might even be able to pick them up at a yard sale.

Before you hide the TV, make it safe for the smaller members and visitors (children, pets) who may be injured if it falls on them. Anchor it to the wall. Anchor the chest to the wall. Sometimes children are sent to see TV in the bedroom, and try to adjust it themselves.

Hotel liquidation places and other furniture resale places may have the upper part of a TV "armoire" that could be modified or copied to sit on your dresser over the TV. Or, just like the shutters, a pretty folding screen--wooden, painted, shoji, or photo-framed--could be cut to the proper height to hide the TV when not in use.

Throw a nice fabric over it. If it sit a top a dresser or table you can kind of wrap the fabric around a bit and place something on top the tv so it looks like it serves as a boxed stand for a picture or short vase. When ready to watch TV, put item aside and pull fabric and fold neatly beside it :-) There ya go :-) btw I would put a nice Sari Indian Fabric....very beautiful :-)

I was thinking I would like to put up one of those bed net things that is attached to a circle. It would not completely hide the TV, but it would camoflage it when not in use.
