Hey, if you must smoke, then get something positive out of the process. Here are ways to reused Cigarette boxes.

  1. First Aid Kit: stock it with several type band bandaids, Acetaminophen in a tiny bit of Saran Wrap, four small packets of germ killing lotions, a packed moist towelette, a thick rubber band, a few cotton balls wrapped and a clean wrapped razor blade. Mr. Thrifty, you've GOT IT. Although I've never smoked, I find LOTS of used cigarette CASES in garage sales for 25-50 cents, and boxes tossed on curbs. I can now transfer
from cellophane to protective coverings..for CHEAP or FREE. Change is a problem to store for me. Wallets never have enough room, and the coin carriers are usually limited. With as little makeup as I use anymore, those CASES would just about handle the two compacts and chapstick nicely. The

boxes might give my 8 yr old grandson some "ideas"
that Gammy might smoke or condone smoking, so
I'll stick to the cheap harder CASES your suggestion
brought to mind.

Any list for all those used sunglass cases we all have
accumulated, especially the ones with no snap or
closures? I have quite a few, have given many away,
but would be interested in recycling them properly.
I wear RX glasses now, so I have no need for several
cases of ANY sort for glasses as they were intended.
I've used them for pens/pencils, receipts, combs,
stamps, school photos, manicure tools, playing cards, temporary first aid when needing bandaids, tiny address books/calculators/business cards, and film storage. Any OTHER or BETTER uses for them?

God bless you for sharing these ideas with us!

OMG I cannot believe I never thought of this! My husband and I are both smokers :( and the packs laying around drive me nuts! I craft a lot and have all kinds of little things laying loose. Now I have a place to keep.

My lil homemade beads
Little seashells
paperclips
tacs.
You could stash cash in them to have handy in the car - just have to be careful what you threw in the trash!
They'd make great travel grooming kits with the little nail clippers & such

Some packs have really pretty artwork on them, too. Of course, then I'd have all these cigarette packs around the house.

For those of you who are concerned about leaving cigarette boxes lying around, or throwing away the wrong thing. It would be really easy to decoupage the boxes. A little fabric, small pictures from magazines, or scrap book paper pieces, some watered-down glue, and you have a pretty (or handsome) little box.

The extra layers will help it last longer too.
