How do you keep bugs out of the garage door opening light? There are slots on the sides and they are full of bugs. Yuck!

I know it seems yucky, but those bugs are no longer bugging you. Maybe rig a home-made bug trap with sweet soda or something to hang right near the light?
I seem to recall that there are yellow light bulbs which do not attract insects. Don't know the proper name of these but remember seeing them in outdoor fixtures.
Spray with insect spray. We had spiders near ours. The spray works, good luck.
