Make Your Own Wine Coolers

Gold Post Medal for All Time! 846 Posts

Store bought Wine Coolers are expensive so here are a couple of tips to make them yourself for a lot less money. No matter whether homemade or not, they are refreshing on a warm Spring or Summer day ;-)

Add a bit of sparkling water and ice to your favorite red, white, or rose wine or, my favorite, experiment with mixing wine with different fruit juices and/or flavored carbonated beverages.

Jug (or box) red wine + 7-up +splash of sweet & sour mix or Roses lime juice...if it's too sweet, add fresh juice rather than the sweetened kind. This is so good that you have to pay attention to how much you drink, or make them weak, which isn't fun at all.

For a refreshing treat this summer, why not make your own wine coolers or non-alcohol spritzers. All you do is replace the water with club soda when you make any frozen concentrated juice. For a weekend treat you can add a shot of vodka or a bit of white wine, but these simple spritzers taste just as good without the alcohol and what better way to refresh yourself, than with a wholesome glass of natural juice, with only a bit of carbonation added. My favorite is orange-mango spritzers. What a tasty treat!
