Salt Air Damage to Exterior Door?

Our house which is only 4 years old, it has a solid mahogany double door and transom inset with leaded glass. The winds hit it directly from the ocean. I want to restore its original rich shine. I can't find any good products. Please help.

Formby's products come to mind, as well as 'Restor-a-finish'.

Another solution would be to install a quality clear, storm door...a design that wouldn't distract the beauty of your mahogany doors.. (ie, www.stormdoors.com/ )

Go to your local marina and buy some marine varnish. It's strong, durable, and made to withstand water. It's used as a finish for wood surfaces on boats, so you know it's tuff.

Marine supply is great advice. Z-spar Captians varnish is good. Use a tounge oil varnish and add penetrol a product made by Flood. Sand first with 180 grit vacuum dust off and go.
