Recycled Window Valentine Card

Make a Valentine card from recycled packaging.

Approximate Time: 30 minutes

Supplies:

  • card stock
  • scrapbook paper
  • plastic packaging circle or bump

  • scissors
  • glue
  • 1 inch circle punch
  • candy

Instructions:

This is so simple and so cute. Whenever you purchase an item with the plastic bump out type packaging, save it for a treat card.

  • Cut an opening in the paper about the size of your plastic packaging.

  • Pop in your plastic packaging (trimming may be needed).

  • Glue the edges, and let it dry.

  • Fill with small candies and then glue on a paper backing.

  • To hide the cutting line, I used 1 inch circles (from scrapbook paper), folded them in half and glued them around the edges where the paper and plastic meet.

Editor's Note: It's always a good idea to hand wash with soap and warm water any plastic that will be touching something you eat.

What a cute idea. Thanks! I will retrieve a couple of these from my recycling bin to make some for Valentines. Granddaughters will love them.
