Fish Sandwich Tips and Recipes?

Does anyone know what kind of fish restaurants use for fish sandwiches? The little fish cakes you buy frozen taste terrible and I'd really like to be able to make my own, even if they aren't exactly "square". Also, what do they coat them with?

the wholesale stores like BJ'S, Sams Club, etc. will sell these kinds of foods that the restaurants cook. Believe it or not they are very good and taste just like the restaurants style of cooking.

I'm pretty sure they use cod. I'd say the coating is like a cornflake mixture or maybe cornmeal. Best of Luck!

This is a great recipe. It uses bread crumbs and corn meal on the outside. We make this a few times a year. You don't need to use so much oil though.
