I am not sure if this works or not but a friend told me to spray the bowl with pam before putting spaghetti sauce in. I am going to try this myself. Cathy from MA

You really can't prevent it, but I do have a way to remove the stains. Fill the bowls or containers with water, and get yourself as cheap of a package of denture cleaner as you can (like Equate, from the Walmart, or any other generic denture cleaner), and put a half of a tablet of that into the bowl.

Let it fizz itself out, and viola! The stains will be gone. Works great on coffee and tea stains in mugs, too. ;)

It helps a bit to spray them first with pam cooking spray then add your food.

Rinse out the bowls with Cold water first. Then use warm, soapy water to clean.

I always spray my plastic before putting any tomato products in them. I have NEVER had a stain after do so. It also seems to cut down on smells remaining behind.

I spray mine with Pam. Works everytime. Need to spray the lid too.
