Sofa Arm is Loose?

The arm on my fabric sofa has come loose. How can I fix it myself? Cheers.

Each sofa is made differently, you'll need to post a picture before anyone can really help you, but if it's just the fabric that's come undone from the bottom, use thumb or upholstery tacks or a stapler underneath, if it needs sewn, there's a special curved upholstery needle you can buy at any fabric store, You can also use "Fabri-Tac" brand of fabric glue, it's the one in the clear bottle & you can buy it at Walmart or any craft or fabric store. It sets up very quickly & is the best fabric glue on the market as far as I'm concerned...

If it's not the fabric that's come loose but actually the arm it's self, you'll need to peal the fabric back & actually screw or nail the arm's frame to the body of the sofa's frame. If your sofa sits back against a wall you can possible buy a metal bracket & screw one frame to the other from behind. They teach upholstery classes at many community colleges, why don't you give the instructor a call & ask him or her. You could also call or go in to a place that sells specialty upholstery fabrics & notions, they usually know their stuff! Just look in the yellow pages under "upholstery supplies". But if you want any more help from ThriftyFun people, you should us give some more details or post a picture of the area.
