Does Honey Make Hair Shinier?

I was wondering if honey really helps your hair to be shinier? If so, how much should I use? Also do you know anything else that makes your hair shinier? Do avocados really work?

For shiny hair you can mix one teaspoon of honey into 4 cups of warm water. After shampooing, pour the mixture through your hair, but do not rinse. Dry as normal.

I also deep condition once a week after using a clarifying shampoo (which helps remove build-up).

You could also try a gloss in bottled form or in box (applies like a hair color). This works great for me because I have naturally blonde hair which doesn't reflect much light because it has very little color pigmentation. I also take EFA's daily. Hope that helps.

Never put honey in your hair. My mom is a hair dresser. People also say use lemon. Don't do that either. The acid actually will fry your hair and honey you will never be able to get out. i tried it when i was little but you can buy redkin shampoo and conditioner. I promise you will notice a huge difference. Then once a week use a conditioner called matrix biolage smoothing therapy. Then once you towel dry your hair use redkin smooth down. Then use it again after you hair has dried or been styled. A bottle runs about $15 and it doesn't look like it's worth it because suave and all that stuff is $8 but my hair almost reaches the middle of my back and I only need a 1/2 of a pump.

One bottle almost lasts me a year. You wash and condition with redkin. And types will do whether it's for dry hair long short. It all makes it shiny and look healthy. Then towel dry it and apply 1 DROP. LITERALLY of smooth down. If you use more than that it looks extremely oily. and once a week condition with the matrix biolage and let it sit in after you get out of the shower for about an hour if possible. I suggest you tie a grocery store bag around your head while your out the shower because a shower cap won't keep it up and the water drips out of it. Hope it works for you! :)

Let me really help you. Two Tbl of honey mixed with 3 Tbl olive oil. Mix in clean hair and place cap on for 30 minutes. Wash with mild shampoo and there you go! Avocados work real well, too.

Crush and mix with olive oil or use coconut milk( I did) and leave on as long as you can. Made my hair super soft for a couple days. It also helps to wash hair every other day. xoxo

The key is to warm the honey so that the consistency is not very sticky. Heat some water; put both Olive oil and Honey in a sandwich bag or small bottle and sit it in the hot water until it is warm. Lightly massage/mix both ingredients once it is warm. This is when you can use it. I do not recommend you put cold honey on your hair if you do not know how to deal. If you have black american hair, I suggest you leave it in for a few hours (warm) or overnight.
