Buddy is one year old. He is a Jack Russell Terrier. We got Buddy as a puppy after we saw an ad in the paper for Jack Russell puppies. Our daughter has been wanting one since she was 2, so we called and the lady had one puppy left. That puppy was Buddy, which my daughter named because she finally got her Buddy. He likes to play with our 3 cats. I honestly think he thinks he is a cat. He also like to dig, run, and cuddle.
The first week we had Buddy, the girls and I painted his nails lime green. At the time, we lived next to a park. One afternoon Buddy got out of the gate. We were going that day to get him a collar and tag. We went looking for him. Once we drove back home, Buddy came running up to the gate. We jumped out of the car - so excited to have our Buddy back.
I guess he got out and saw a father and daughter playing and decided to play stick with them. The man said that as they left, Buddy followed them and jumped into their car (which he loves to do). They took him home and fed him. Once they did, he said Buddy sat in front of their door crying.
The wife had noticed his nails where painted, and told her husband that he belong to some little girl who was probably missing him. So they took Buddy back to to the park and opened the door to see where he would go. He jumped out and ran straight to our house. We were so happy to have our Buddy back!

Oh my goodness! My heart feels like it could burst from all of the cute and what a sweet story. I am so glad that the people that Buddy decided to visit with were honest and caring people and that he got back home ok. Buddy is a real doll. I swear my Chloe thinks she's a cat too! LoL.

We have a Jack Russell built just like Buddy. Our's has some black on him as well as the tan and white. He also has some black spots. His name is Baby Jack Frederick Woodford (Baby Jack for short). He thinks he's human and we tell him he's a BOY every day. We love him so much, he is a major part of our lives. He is 5 years old and the best purchase we have ever made. Enjoy your "Buddy".
