Oven Baked Meatballs

Silver Post Medal for All Time! 390 Posts

These are so great, and a lot cheaper than buying them in a store!

Ingredients:

  • 3 beaten eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 cups soft bread crumbs (4 slices)

  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 3 lbs. ground beef

Directions:

In a large bowl, combine beaten eggs and milk. Stir in soft bread crumbs (4 slices), and salt. Add ground beef and mix well. Chill.

With wet hands, shape into balls. Place into two 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 inch baking pans. Bake at 375 degrees F for 25-30 minutes.

Put meatballs in another pan to cool. Place in freezer just until a little frozen, then put into zip lock freezer bags. You can then use a few at a time for your meals!

I have been baking meatballs similar to these for years. It is easy to do and they taste good. I often make them with half ground beef and half ground turkey.

I like Montreal Steak seasoning or something similar to flavor the meatballs instead of just salt.
