Saving Soap Pads

You can store your used soap filled steel wool pads in the freezer to prevent them from rusting. Rinse them, then squeeze out excessive water, and place in small leak proof plastic bag. When it's time to use, wet it. It will thaw out in a short amount of time.

I use a cap that came off an aerosol can and put the steel wood pad in that and store in the freezer (in the kitchen of course). It is handy for later use. Much easier than putting it in a bag, in my opinion.
