Yogurt Container Ice Cubes

Fill empty yogurt containers 3/4 full of water and freeze. This makes very large ice cubes that will keep a drink cold for hours. They can also be used in vacuum bottles to keep drinks cold all day. To remove the ice, simply hold the container under running water for a few seconds. The ice will slide right out and the container can be refilled to use again.

I do something similar that saves water and time. The little Boost or Ensure or Juice bottles can be filled to about 2" from the top, then sealed and frozen. When you use them for keeping food and drinks cold, they melt but they don't make a mess.
When you are ready to refreeze them, you simply put them in the freezer again, using the same water.
Hope this helps.

I've been using whipped butter containers for the same thing for a couple of years. I love that the "cube" stays around for a pretty long time.
