Mushroom Soup Patties?

When I was in my teens, my best friend's mother made mushroom soup patties, they were delicious! I have looked in a million and a half recipe books with no luck. I believe these were made with tinned mushroom soup, crushed crackers and eggs? Does anyone know what I am talking about?

I used to make somthing similar to this. A vegetarian dish. But I
also used oatmeal and spices. I would brown them, mix the soup w/milk add a little sour creme, heat the soup first to save cooking time. Then pour the mixture over the patties and heat in oven on 350 for 30 min. But my recipe was called oatmeal patties. I took
this to church potlucks often.
(be carful with the seasoning as to not over salt.)
here is a recipe similiar to mine, I found this on the WWW.

2 c. uncooked oatmeal
1 tbsp. McKay's chicken seasoning
1 can mushroom soup
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 beaten egg
1/2 tsp. sage
3 tsp. beef-like seasoning

Mix well. Drop by spoonfuls into skillet with hot oil. Flatten patties with spoon. Brown well on both sides. Serve plain or with gravy or tartar sauce. Yield - 8 servings

Not sure about mushroom soup patties, but as kids we had grilled mushroom soup sandwiches. Just take soup right out of the can between slices of bread and grill it like a grilled cheese. Careful, the filling get very hot. sounds horrible, but I guarantee you'll love it.

Form the mixture into patties and place one at a time in a skillet with oil. Fry until both sides of the patties are browned.
In a small bowl mix mushroom soup and milk together.

I made these many times when my kids were little, and still make them today. Unfortunately there is no real recipe, but I'll try.

1 lb ground beef

1/4 c cracker crumbs
1/4 c minced onion (optional)
1 egg.
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can (use the empty soup can) milk or cream

Make your patties or meatballs out of the first 4 ingredients, and fry till almost done.
Remove from pan and drain any grease.
Mix the soup and milk and pour into the hot pan and stir till smooth and almost boiling.
Return the patties to the pan, turn the heat to
medium/low and let simmer till the sauce is thickened.
These are awesome, you can also do the same with chicken, the chicken tastes great with the milk, but even better with cream.

I know exactly what your talking about. Still make them. 1 can cream of mushroom soup, 1 sleeve of saltine crackers crushed, 1 egg. Mix it all up and fry in butter. We've always loved them because they taste just like fried wild Morel Mushrooms!

Have no idea what the actual name of them is. We have just always called them Mushroom Patties. I'm thinking that I'm gonna have to fix some tomorrow!
