Using Leftover Coffee

You know how coffee doesn't taste so good after you've had it hot, and it's been on too long? Use the left over coffee from the morning to make a hot chocolate. It tastes better then using plain water and uses up the left over coffee.

Hot leftover coffee
Chocolate Milk Mix (like Nestles Quik)
Cofee Mate

Heat coffee, add Chocolate Milk Mix and Coffee Mate depending on the amount of coffee you have.
Stir until everything is thoroughly mixed, and pour
into clean jars or bottles. Place in refrigerator for
a delicious noon or afternoon treat. Just shake and
pour and enjoy. Stays good for several days when refrigerated.

Use left-over coffee in chocolate-mocha cake recipes, use in chili and beef stews; water your houseplants with the left-over coffee.

I'm sure it would be good for a recipe of a "mocha-flavored" something baked. You usually only need a small amount though. It would undoubted freeze well for such use.

At some point it will not really be cost effective to store LO's of coffee, but I applaud your sense of thrift.

I do this every morning with fresh coffee. I add creamer and hot chocolate mix. It tastes like a cappacino. People at work see me making it and they think it is weird, but they never tried it!

I used to do this a lot. I used to work at a lot of restaurants, and when I wanted coffee, I would put hot chocolate mix in my coffee. It tasted great (even when the coffee got kinda old, in hot weather). Weezy1c

I always brew extra coffee during the summer for ice coffee. Been doing it for years when it wasn't the IN thing.

For a treat we add flavored coffee creamers. Much cheaper than Starbucks at $5 a pop.
