My daughter has two four years old boys. One was born in January and the other in April. These two can find more stuff to get into. One day she was on the computer and thought all the children were playing quietly. One of the other children came and told her that the boys were throwing eggs in the kitchen. They had gotten into the eggs and threw four dozen of them all over the place. One was found the next day not cracked.
They had eggs all over them and under the stoves and on the cabinets. That was the day they were going to see the movie "Cars" but they didn't get to go. It is funny now but at that time it wasn't.

I guess I was surprised that they got away with so much destructive mischief and Mom was unaware.....but I have very rascally children myself and do know that sometimes you can get distracted and that's when they are up to no good!
I know this is sticking my nose in but was wondering how they were both 4 but born in different months....or are they just very close in age....like 10 mos apart or something and are 4 at the same time for a short while. They look very similar.
Hey, I am the mother of those two wonderful boys up there. I have 9 total. The way I have two at the age of four born in two different months is one is adopted and one is natural. Five of my children are adopted and four are natural. These two have a lot of energy, and are very curious. They are boys and boys will be boys. Do I approve of this kind of behavior? NO I don't but I can look back and laugh at these teachable moments. Life is too short to not enjoy teaching our children or having them teach us.
These boys are great. I know them personally and the parents are level headed, like me I would have wanted to kill them but then would have found it quite amusing. Love you guys and miss you terribly.
This reminds me of the time my 3 oldest kids glazed the kitchen floor with raspberry jam, they were having a great time skating on it. I was vacuuming and they were making their own peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, the oldest had just turned 6. Someone spilled some jam on the floor and off they went. It only took a minute and I wondered what all of the laughing was about.

WOW! I'm so glad you have such a good attitude about this! I knew an adoptive mom who always martyred herself about how she never had any time for herself. The mom also seemed to need a lot of hero worship for her saving these children from their horrible birth mothers. She even introduced one of her children, who had been born addicted to drugs, as her "crack baby" right in front of the child!
I glad you have such a laid back attitude in that boys will be boys!
Pat, your boys are adorable and amazing that they look so much alike. I too have adopted children. My husband and I have two birth daughters that are 17 & 16 and we have three adopted boys 3 1/2, 2 and three months old. They were foster children before we adopted them. They didn't come to us all at once but over the course of three years. I pretty much know I will probably have a moments like yours with my own three little boys. Kids love to explore and get into things.
Well doesn't that look awful familar! Mine was four at the time. It happened to be a take off from Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" He was Gaston! Two dozen eggs thrown onto the patio in 100+ degree weather. I was not so happy at the time. I can laugh about it now. We all, my son, husband & I scrubbing egg off the patio! I was so upset. Thanks to hubby, I calmed down. But I made my son scrub that mess along with us grown-ups! I should of taken a picture of me! What a face I must of had!
Hello Mommy to 9....bless you for adopting many....that is wonderful. My two are adopted from Russia....and I definitely understood that picture. I think I'd rather clean up egg mess than poo poo messes which is what we've had to do on more than one occasion. Our daughter used it like play dough UGH! Sorry, if I grossed anyone out. Man, am I glad they are past that now but they still surprise me with some of the trouble they get into. I can hardly get anything done because I have to keep one step ahead of them! I'm sure you are told this all the time, but you must really have your hands full!
