  • 1/2 - 1 cup diced ham(use the lesser or more according to your taste)
  • 1/3 cup green chilies
  • 1/3 cup chopped green onions
  • cayenne pepper to taste( I use 1/2 tsp.)
  • loaf Hawaiian bread

Directions:

Cut top off bread and hollow out the loaf, tearing into bite size pieces.

Mix all ingredients together and pour into Hawaiian bread bowl.

Wrap in foil and bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour. Stir halfway through cooking process. Serve with bread pieces for dipping.

In SA we call it bunny chow. Cook a pot of beans, mutton or chicken curry with gravy. Scoop the inside of a loaf or 1/2 loaf of bread and add your curry and place back the piece you took out and break portions of it and eat with carrot salad.
