Barter For Music Lessons

My oldest son took clarinet lessons in grade school, to be part of the band. The instrument was purchased from an area music store with special arrangements through the school. Years later, I had two more boys who wanted to play the guitar but we did not have the money for them.

I contacted the music store and explained I got the clarinet from them. It was long paid for but was no longer being used. I asked if I could trade the clarinet in for two basic guitars, even steven. The store not only made the trade, they also gave me two cases to hold the guitars. Sounds like a good deal to me.

We also got our woodwind instruments from our local music shop. We can't trade though, neither daughter who played wants to give up her beloved alto sax!

Sounds as if you made an excellent trade - and other kids can use that gently-used clarinet. Thumbs up!
