Cleaning Yourself After Painting

I have been a painter for 12 years, and painting ceilings can be a pain in the neck. If the ceiling is textured, paint gets everywhere, including your hair. When you're all done for the day and you get yourself cleaned up in the shower, try this to get the paint off your body.

Use a green scrubber the same kind that is used for dishes with a dab of hair conditioner. To get the paint out of your hair apply extra conditioner in your hair then run a comb through it. The paint will slide right out, if it's Latex.

Oil base paint is a little more trickier, fingernail polish remover will help just on the paint do this before you wash it, then apply conditioner then comb and rinse.

I discovered baby oil will do the trick. Apply to exposed skin prior to painting for easier clean up. It also works well applied after painting but takes a little longer and requires more scrub time.
