Make a glass candle holder, or even use it to hold treats (such as pretzel rods dipped in melted chocolate covered with sprinkles or colored sugars).Take any size clean jar (even empty pickle jars), the bigger the better, if possible. You're going to be filling this with colored water (purple, gold, or green=gold probably works best, you'll see why, because you're going to add a floating candle in it). Then make (or buy) a mask to put around the jar so the candle glow will be showing through the eyes. Hot glue a broken rubber band to the sides of the mask to help it fit snug against the jar. Decorate the mask with: ribbons, sequins, glitter, feathers. Can even hide the lid rim by wrapping strands of curling ribbon intertwined around it and let "trails" hang down over left side of mask (when looking at it).

You can float a tea light candle in it. Carefully, just put it on top, and don't fill the water too high either. Be sure to use the colors of purple, gold and green, can even use a black mask and then embellish.

Make party invitations from cardstock cut-outs to create masks. Glue a skinny wooden food skewer on inside of mask, punch a hole at top of mask to have ribbons hanging down, even "jester bells". Cover skewer with tape, ribbon, foil or paint. Put party info on back of mask. Or simply just use these as picks in a centerpiece with floral foam and feathered plumes and beads.

If the craft is for children you can make king cakes out of brown paper bags. Just cut them into wide strips and then crumple the strips into a ring shape.

Tape ends together to keep the shape. Then paint them purple green and gold to resemble a king cake. Gold glitter looks pretty too.
