Sharing Your Thanksgiving - Renting a Gym

Diamond Post Medal for All Time! 5,887 Posts

This year some friends of ours from church are renting a gym and they have invited any and all church members to come if they do not have other plans for their Thanksgiving. Everyone is to bring a fingerfood or a drink. What a nice way to share the holiday!

Two of the best Thanksgivings that I ever had wereheld in a church. The senior pastor and the assistant pastor were a father and son team. They felt that since their families got together for the day they would expand on it and have it in the church family room. The ministers families provided the turkey and ham, everybody else provided all the other food. There would be quite a mixed crowd - - young couples, older folks, single people, children and one year we had quite a few servicemen in uniform. There was a separate TV room so the men could go and watch football if they wished. Everybody helped to clean up afterwards. It was a wonderful time for all.
