Mix Taco Seasoning With Sour Cream

Silver Post Medal for All Time! 398 Posts

I have a lot of leftover taco seasoning packets left over from when we were always cooking Mexican. I found that if I put one package of taco seasoning into 2 cups of sour cream and top with shredded cheese of any kind, it goes like hotcakes.

Tomatoes are really good on top of this too. Serve with tortilla chips, we like it warm, the cheese just slightly melted. It is a really good way to use taco seasoning packages.

I might try this with plain yogurt or even half yogurt/half sour cream and my homemade taco seasoning....sounds great for Mexican night!

This is a great sauce for shrimp or fish tacos too! This is one of the layers in a Mexican 7 layer dip and it is also yummy!

I would do something similar with 1/2 salsa and 1/2 sour cream. I remember eating it with Cool Ranch Doritoes when I was a teenager.

Great use for extra taco seasoning.
