Look in a cookbook or google it. You should be able to find a recipe and directions someplace. Myself, I buy the pancake mixes or even the frozen pancakes. AT 70 years I am all for doing things as easy as possible.

Follow the directions on the package.

Actually, some company makes the pancake mix that comes in a plastic "bottle" which you add water, shake and pour. Couldn't get any more simple, and they even taste good. I learned it from my DIL whose mom didn't cook much, but worked all the time. She's taught me many good things over the years. Now she's wanting to learn to cook the old-fashioned way. We share a lot.

I think that pancake mix comes in a yellow plastic bottle (in the pancake mix aisle at your grocery store).

Hope this helps,
Lee

Most baking mixes like Bisquick, have a recipe for pancakes. However you can make your own by taking two cups flour, one egg, one tsp baking powder, one fourth cup sugar and a forth cup vegetable oil and enough milk to make a nice batter a little thinner than cake batter.

By forth cups, pour the batter in an oiled skillet preferrable anteflon one, and cook on low heat until the top has bubbles in it. Flip over and cook a minuts then put it on your plate and eat it. Some like syrup but I like butter and sugar on mine.

1 egg
3/4 cup milk
1 cup flour, all-purpose
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

Beat egg with hand beater until fluffy; beat in remaining ingredients just until mixed.
For thinner pancakes, stir in additional 1/4 cup milk.
Grease heated griddle if necessary. (To test griddle sprinkle with few drops water.

If bubbles skitter around, heat is just right.)
For each pancake, pour about 1/4 cup batter onto hot griddle.
Cook pancakes until puffed and dry around edges.
Turn and cook other sides until golden brown.
I substitute whole wheat flour and diabetic brown sugar. This recipe is better than boxed mixes!
