I seal RV keys, boat keys, etc. in a ziploc bag (leave some air in the bag). Then if they are dropped in the water (i.e. pool, lake, river and the like) they float!

What a good idea, thanks for sharing, good luck.
You could even put a little plastic ball together with the keys in the bag and use a normal plastic bag you could tie with a simple knot.
