Removing Cigarette Odor from Small Items

Silver Post Medal for All Time! 297 Posts

I had a bag of yarn that had a horrible cigarette odor given to me. I had heard if the odor couldn't be removed by other means, to freeze the item. I didn't have enough space inside my freezer, so decided I would set the it out in the snow on my deck. I left the yarn in the bag on the deck all day. When I brought it inside, there was no more odor! I am going to try this on other items that have stubborn odors that cannot be cleaned with soap and water.
