Try www.freecycle.org to see if your area has a local chapter. This organization is set up to share items with each other; their goal is to keep usuable items out of landfills. Everything is free.

Also craigslist.org has some free items, as well as many low cost.

Social services, the Goodwill, Salvation Army, area churches. Or go to a garage sale and tell the people you will haul away items that don't sell. Put an ad in the paper. Go to www.freecycle.org Dumpster dive, go to a dump.

Our country is so rich you should be able to find treasures at every corner. Several Christian websites could help--just start looking and asking.
