Can anyone advise regarding stray dog droppings on the front path of the house. We sometimes have to walk around them to get out. They are done in the same place each day. We clean and disinfect the area and we have tried naphthalene flakes, but nothing seems to work as a deterrent. Would appreciate any suggestions.

Why doesn't someone rescue them & help them?
i would try the crushed moth ball technique, then perhaps mix a strong spray of hot sauce, vinegar and water and spray on the concrete. you'll have to reapply this almost daily. Maybe sprinkle boric acid along the walk (it deters ants and roaches)or soap flakes. consider calling the local dog catcher.
Here in Canada we can purchase a product to repel dogs and cats. It was some sort of green granules that I sprinkled on the lawn. It worked to keep our cats from pooping on the front lawn, and had to be reapplied after a rain. It was fairly strong smelling. Other things that you could try are lemon scented cleaners or lemon or orange peels. Cats don't like these smells, anyway. I don't know about dogs. I have kept cats from spraying their scent on my house by splashing a strongly lemon scented household cleaner on the spots they were using.

Thank you everyone for your feedback. Just like to mention that there are no dog catchers where we are. Sometimes stray dogs are rounded up in Bangkok, but in the bush, no such luxury. In Bangkok, some dogs are being rescued, helped and retrained by the armed services, but the problem is huge.
