These bugs look like small red whiskers, they like light colored skin especially when it's humid outside. They don't bother my dark skinned friends unless they are wearing damp, light colored clothes.

I'm having a problem with the same thing I think...The bugs we have are extremely tiny and a redish orange color. You can't see them flying or crawling on you unless you're wearing light clothes or are very light skinned. They bite the heck out of you!
