Hi,

Here is a good article about Epsom Salt:
en.wikipedia.org/.../Magnesium_sulfate

It helps to explain its properties.

Regards, kjp

epsom salt is magnesium sulphate and all the other salts you mention are sodium in one way or another.
aside from adding the mineral magnesium and sulpher to soil in planting, it is used for a laxative, and bath salts. (a 50/50 mix of baking soda and epsom salt makes a great bath mix. add essential oils of choice for scent)

i'm not sure it is actually a salt but it has crystals and looks and feels like salt.

I need to know how epsom salt effects flowers and what it does to make it healthy.

Editors' Note: 2 TBSP. epsom salts per gallon of water is the doseage. Water the roots of plants and shrubs. It is a source of magnesium.
