Easy way to find out - get a thermometer and place it in there to see if it reads accurately to what you've set. Any air leaks can have some impact.

it will probably make hot spots in your oven. since the hot air is leaking out i would say colder air is being sucked in. not to mention the wasted energy you are paying for. it would be worth your time and money to get it fixed or replace the stove if it is really old and gaskets too hard to find.
