Repairing a Home Radiator?

Can burst radiators be repaired? We have an old building for sale along with a house it is attached to. In several of the rooms, the radiators or pipe attached to radiator burst, due to freezing. Can these be fixed or replaced, and if so what would be approximate cost? Thanks.

Old radiators are made of cast iron. If the iron has a hole in it I don't think it can be repaired. However what I think has happen to the seal between each cast iron section has failed. These sections can be taken apart and repaired. I think a plumber can do that or go to a plumber supply store and get more information. You should be able to find a plumber supply store in the yellow pages.

if you are talking the feed pipe to the radiators yes they can be replaced & repaired. You need to have water out of the line. Check online how to do this or email me.
