Permanent Marker on a Chalkboard?

My friend's child used a regular marker on my chalk board; what do I do?

Just reapply the chalkboard paint, can be found at local lumber marts like Lowes, Menards etc.

I am an elementary art teacher and when this happens, I use alcohol wipes on the board...you can also try nail polish remover.

I just got permanent marker off of a chalk board with alcohol and a magic eraser it was so easy,just had to share :)

Sorry, I thought I was replying to a specific post. I used the suggestion above...rubbing alcohol and and magic eraser. It was easy and every bit was off in a minute! Thank you!

I just used magic eraser and it worked like a charm,the nwil polish remover never worked

Using nail polish was a winner! Apply it on a cotton pad and rub it on the blackboard
