African Gray Parrots

I would share with you my two little babies. These are African Grays - they are 4 months old. I am still hand feeding them. The biggest one is a male and the smaller one is a female. He is always standing over her just like he is protecting her. It is so cute.

They are such a joy to handle and start to train them. They know on how to climb a latter. I am starting to lay the male on his back like a baby. I will miss it when I can't feed them anymore.

We have an African Gray also, he just turned 5 years old , this year . He can be sooooooooo sweet and loveable but the next minute, he can get mean too ! :-) He talks up a storm , must know about 300 words and phrases, and can whistle some songs also. We hand fed him also, got him when he was just about 2 months old, did not have all his feathers yet.

LOL he looked like a littel vulture bird ! LOL I fed him until he stopped taking " his bottle " :) he was almost a year old when he decided to have real food . HIs name is Smoky.

I loved the pictures and the feedback.Wow it seems
like you can train them to speak. Also can you still
give them snacks in your hand as they get bigger,
I know it won't be the same as hand feeding.
sounds neat.

Your birds are beautiful. I have a cockatiel. He is 9 years old and so much company. Just like my child. Thanks so much for sharing the pictures. Enjoy them?
