Thrifty Summer Activities

Here are some frugal things I to do in the summer:

  • Attend Bluegrass/gospel music during the week and on Saturday night, free.

  • Attend local happenings at the University.

  • Get the newspaper subscription. It's worth it to find out what is happening free in my city like grand openings of business with free food and prizes, free senior seminars on health care issues or Medicare, free lunch or dinner provided.

  • Go to the public library and use the computers or buy used magazines and books for $.25 and up.
