Chichen Itza is on the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico, making it North America. Mexico is considered to be the southernmost country in North America

Chichen Itza is in Mexico, on the North American Continent.

When I visited Mexico when I was younger, we jokingly called it, "Chicken pizza".

It is in Mexico - about 75 miles south, inland, from Cancun.

Chichen Itza is in the central area of the Yucutan Peninsula of Mexico. It is located in the middle of a flat, rocky, jungle. It is an enormous ancient city of remarkable ruins. It covers several acres, and allows visitors almost "free rein" when exploring - at least as of 2003.

Tourists can wander about the complex, exploring, learning, and touching the carvings of the ancient culture. The highlights are the observatory, the game field, and the pyramid - as well as the pyramid within the pyramid. Tourists can climb both - it's unforgettable!
