Cleaning Wet Potting Soil Out of Carpet?

How should one clean a carpet that a wet dirt filled plant was dropped on? Thanks in advance.

If possible, let it dry first then vacuum, then clean with Woolite Carpet cleaner. I have done this on my carpet and it worked.

I do this all the time. Alllow the soil to dry and then it comes right up with the vacuum. Don't touch it until it is dry or you create mud that does stain.
