To make them smooth, you will need some emery cloth or other abrasive. You can get the bottle cutters they use if you search "bottle cutter" online. The kits will come with the emery cloth. Make a few before you do too much work if you're intending to use them as glasses. Other posts in the past said they didn't feel good on the lips. Good luck!
