Mix a half water, half vinegar solution in a bucket and wipe down the walls-don't rinse. The vinegar smell will evaporate and take the odor with it.

Test on in inconspicuous spot first, wait 24 hours to make sure the vinegar doesn't eat your wall paper. I've never seen that happen but there is always a first time.
