Problem with Cakes?

I want to know the tips about cakes. My problem is the volume of the cake is decreasing after the cake is removed from the oven and when it is cooled. Also the middle of the upper portion is not getting baked. Please reply or give suggestion.

If you use a bundt pan, (a pan with a hole in the center) you may never have the problem of an uncooked center. Another option is not to use a deep pan, and to move the batter away from the middle before putting it in the oven, leaving a slight depression in the center. It may be better to use layer pans for baking and after cooking to stack one cake over the other with frosting or filling in between.
