Helping a Cat Transition at a New Home?

I have a beautiful 2 year old sterilized male Persian. Sadly I cannot keep him any longer, and I have arranged for him to go back to the family who bred him. They are happy to have him back, but I am worried about how he will fit in again with his cat family, mother, father, brother, and sister. He has really bonded with my husband and I, and on previous occasions where we have had to leave him with friends he has stressed and peed everywhere and even ran away.

We were lucky to get him back. Is there anything I can do to make the transition easier for him? The other male cats are not sterilized.

Cats remember family, even after a good period of time. He will probably do better than you are imagining. Perhaps his new family will update you?

Sounds like a very difficult situation especially if the other male cats are not neutered, they can actually try to mate with your guy or cat "rape him" it's a pity there wasn't some other solution to your problem.

I feel for you having to give up your precious kitty. I am sure the family who bred him will take good care of him and eventually he will enjoy having other cats to play with. I am sure his new family will keep in touch and let you know how he is doing. Best of luck.
