Good for you for recycling things!

This article tells how to smash it, mix with water and reform to make bigger more usable pcs of chalk. You might also be able to put them in some kind of mold or recycle a yogurt cup or something to make more of a molded shape. If it is too chunky to use for blackboard use the kids can use it as sidewalk chalk and you can add a bit of tempura paint powder to color it if you want.

Here are some other uses for chalk. I have heard of using it for the laundry use before. Also have read you can put a few pieces of chalk in a toolbox to keep your tools from rusting.

Along the lines of using chalk to keep tools from rusting, if you want to help prevent tarnish on jewelry (or silverware), you can store it in a plastic bag with a piece of chalk. The chalk will absorb moisture. Don't do this with pearls or opals, the low moisture is bad for them.

I have another question regarding this .so as it is said that the chalk powder can be use to prevent silver from tarnishing .What I want to know is that how it prevents the tarnishing tell some properties responsible for this and also tell that how it is applied on the silver whether it is applied in the form of powder or in any other state??

White chalk is great for treating ring-around-the-collar and sweat stains on clothing. It absorbs the specific oil in those and makes it easier for your detergent and water to remove the stains.
