Ingredients

  • 1 large pkg. chocolate chips
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 pt. whipping cream
  • 1 large Angel Food cake

Directions

Melt chocolate chips over low heat. Beat egg yolks, add to melted chocolate chips. Beat egg whites. Add sugar, then add chocolate mixture. Stir in vanilla, nuts and salt. Beat whipping cream and fold into mixture. Break Angel Food cake into chunks and cover bottom of greased large Angel Food cake pan. Cover with half of chocolate mixture. Put in another layer of cake and rest of chocolate mixture. Refrigerate overnight. Serves 12.

You don't list nuts in the ingredients, but say to stir in nuts with the vanilla and salt in the directions. Amount and what type of nuts? Grandma Jan & Kato the Wonder Dog

Editor's Note: We removed the nuts from the directions. If you would to try it with nuts, I would recommend 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts or your favorite type of nut.
