How Many Ounces is a No. 303 Can?

I have an old recipe that calls for a NO. 303 can of fruit cocktail. What size can would that be in ounces? It is used in a great recipe for a fruit cocktail cake that is very moist. Thanks for any help on this.

The old recipe says 1 cup sugar. Do you put in more, since fruit cocktail used to come in heavy syrup?

Thank you everyone for the help you gave Pat Ray because those answers also helped me! I found this Q&A when looking for the same answer, also for my grandmothers Fruit Cocktail Cake recipe. Grandma and I started working on a cookbook of her recipes together but she had to finish typing it herself when I went home after my great aunt died.

In the opening pages she apologized for that because she said the typewriter should do better for an inexperienced typist :). Grandma and Grandpa owned a restaurant so many of these recipes had many thumbs up approvals. So, thank you for allowing me to try another of grandma's wonderful recipes by giving me the can conversion!!
